又快到報稅季節拉! 

剛好應景寫此文，給有意申請此補助款項的朋友們，

若符合條件，有機會在退稅時可拿到將近加幣一千元的額外津貼呦!

Schedule 6 - Working Income Tax Benefit 工作收入稅務補助是甚麼??

是加拿大政府針對低收入工作者發放的補助津貼。

各省收入限制條件不同，發放額度也不一致，此以BC省舉例說明。

 

一般工作者年收入在$4,750 以上到個人 $ 19,721 / 家庭 $ 28,328 以下；

傷殘工作者年收入在 $ 2,295 以上到 個人 $ 22,983 / 家庭 $ 31,585 以下； 且符合以下條件者即可申請。

 

條件:

1.You were a resident of Canada throughout the year.

你是居民，且當年度在加拿大住滿"一整年"。(稅務定義上的居民，非指公民。)

2.You earned income from employment or business.

你有在工作，有賺錢。

3.At the end of the year, you were 19 years of age or older or you resided with your spouse or common-law partner or your child.

你年滿19歲。

 

以下情形者除外:

1.You were enrolled as a full-time student at a designated educational institution for more than 13 weeks in the year,

unless you had an eligible dependant at the end of the year.

你是全日制學生，在指定教育機構學習超過13週。除非你在年底前有一個法律上合格的被扶養者。

2.You were confined to a prison or similar institution for a period of at least 90 days during the year.

你被限制在監獄或類似機構至少90天。

 

注意:

If you were married or living in a common-law relationship
but did not have an eligible spouse or an eligible dependant,
complete this schedule using the instructions as if you had neither an eligible spouse nor an eligible dependant.

如果你已婚或生活在同居關係裡，
但沒有合法的配偶或被扶養者，
在完成此表格時，請依照既沒有合法的配偶或被扶養者的條件申請。

If you are completing a final return for a deceased person who met the above conditions, you can claim the WITB for that person
if the date of death was after June 30, 2014.

如果你正在替符合上述條件的死者做最終回報，
你可以替死者申請WITB，如果他/她的死亡日期是在2014年6月30日之後。

拜加打友人Emma小姐在聚會中偶然提及之賜，

在去年報完稅後我才知道有這項補助，

且驚喜發現自己符合申請資格 (打工度假簽證在 2013/6/20 到期，接著境內轉兩次觀光簽，待到2014/2/17)。

 

因此，去年六月中跨國辦完紙本報稅，九月底收到退稅金後，

便再次跨國寄出T1 Adjustment Request + S6 Working Income Tax Benefit 兩表格，

至 International Tax Service Office in Ottawa，去追回當年度可申請的補助款項，

並順利在兩個月後，十一月中從加拿大戶頭中確認收到加幣941.25元!!!

(根據加拿大稅務達人Charlie King L的建議是: 若報稅資料已寄出，便要等完成後，才能再次寄出更正。) 

 

當然最好是在報稅時，順便填寫Schedule 6表格，

並在 T1 表格第三頁453 填入計算後的Working Income Tax Benefit 金額，加總退稅額度，

再將全部表格一併寄出。

 

如同申請消費稅、報稅一樣，皆十年內有效，

因此，一樣可以跨國申請!!
